Buu Dien, Pink Saigon Central Post Office

Saigon Central Post Office, was constructed between 1886-1891 this building was located near the Saigon Notre-dame Basilicca, the main church in Saigon city. This building has a Gothic architectural style, designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in harmony with the surrounding area. Pink is the main color of this building, for me sometimes its pink some times it turns out into soft orange color, depends on how many sun light in that day.

This building still on it main function as the post office, local resident come here to do the "post office things", but this building also attract tourist to come. For the size, as post office this building is surely huge one. You'll find a huge door as the main door, that door will bring you to a huge main hall. Beside its function as post office, inside you also can find a money changer and some souvenirs counters that sell several kind of Saigon souvenirs. Start from key chain, wood statue, fan, bag and also special souvenir from Buu Dien, which are post card and stamp. This place is open daily during the working hour, free entrance.
